Company
Founded by industry experts, we build what flight departments actually need — from runway analysis and weight & balance to the certified performance databases and the flight bag that carries them.
Team

Ricardo Quintana — Founding Partner
Ricardo founded Avia Solutions to build the flight operations tools he had spent his career working without. He works on the products from both sides at once: the operational problem, and the code that solves it.

Armando Gonzalez — Aerospace Engineer
Armando spent his career at Boeing Commercial Airplanes working alongside customer airlines — solving their operational problems and building the technology that made their flight operations faster, leaner and more efficient.

Katherine Quintana — Graphic Design
Katherine is Ricardo’s daughter. She is in her senior year of computer science at the University of Washington, and holds an associate’s degree in modern art.
B.S. Aerospace Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin — fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, propulsion and structural mechanics.
US Patent 2010/0292869, Aircraft Dispatch Information — automating the distribution of MEL items to airline personnel to reduce dispatch delays.
Society of Aircraft Performance and Operations Engineers. Private pilot since 1994.
Why it matters here. Runway analysis, AFM performance data, weight and balance, and the EFB that carries them to the flight deck are the four things this company builds. They are also, in order, what Armando spent three decades doing at the manufacturer.
The manufacturer's SCAP takeoff and landing modules, and its in-flight performance program, run as the manufacturer wrote them — carried across to modern code at full float precision and validated against the manufacturer's own binaries. Where the industry ships digitised tables, we ship the calculation.
The EFB, the planner and load control read the same navigation cycle and the same certified aircraft databases. Disagreement between ground and air is designed out rather than reconciled afterwards.
When a performance database does not support a case, our software names the case and refuses it. A confident wrong number is worse than no number, and in this industry that is not a philosophical position.
Navigation data, elevation, weather and the performance engines are ours end to end. No third-party service sits in the middle of your planning loop, and nothing critical depends on a vendor we cannot fix.

Our products are designed to sit next to the maintenance, crewing and commercial systems you already run, exchanging data in the formats the industry already uses. Talk to us about the integration you need.
We offer competitive solutions that we can customize specifically for your requirements — because we know that no two operations are exactly alike.
